Consultations
In this busy world of ours, a herbal consultation is time to stop and take a moment for yourself, to be listened to.
Your initial consultation is an opportunity for you to talk about whatever health concerns you may have. We will discuss your health in depth, taking a full medical history covering the different body systems as well as diet, lifestyle. A clinical examination may also be offered and further tests may be suggested. This approach allows us to address symptoms whilst also acknowledging the whole body and person involved. Following the initial consultation and after any necessary research, I shape an individual treatment plan which will include herbal medicine as well as possible diet and lifestyle suggestions which I will help support you with. I am very happy to work alongside your GP or other healthcare professionals.
I have been trained to ensure that prescribed herbs may be taken safely so please bring along a list of any medications and supplements you are taking. Herbal medicine is usually in the form of tinctures, dried herbs, capsules and ointments/creams.
Follow up consultations allow us to discuss progress and continue a conversation around your health, making changes needed as needed. Chronic conditions may take longer to respond than acute conditions.
I offer online and in person appointments are available in Aberystwyth.
Initial consultations are charged at £75 for a full hour.
An extended 90 minute consultation is £90.
Follow ups are £50 and take 30 minutes.
Your herbal prescription, and therefore cost, will depend on individual needs.
Tinctures, organic or produced from our land where possible, are charged at £12/100ml.
Dried herbs, powders, creams and ointments are some examples of other remedies
I offer a sliding scale for those who are not be able to afford full fees.
I also offer appointments in Welsh on request.
